Outlet shopping is a bit of a different experience. Most of these outlet malls are outdoor shopping centers. It gives the feeling of walking around a city center instead of the typical enclosed mall.

There are some other outlet stores in Central Florida, but they’re a long drive away. If you head up to Buc-ee’s in Daytona, there’s a Tanger Outlet mall on the opposite side of LPGA boulevard. That’s over an hour’s drive up Interstate 4, though. I wouldn’t recommend that trip unless you plan to be in the area for another reason – though Buc-ee’s beef jerky is pretty tempting.

You can find a great deal better than Black Friday on top brands at a premium outlet mall. However, you’re unlikely to find the latest model or version. The reason that designer brands and other stores offer their best prices at their factory outlet is that you’re usually getting the previous season’s design.

It’s not that the products are faulty, but they’re just not the current line for sale at Saks Fifth Avenue at the Florida mall. You can find great prices if you’re OK with last year’s model.

Here are the three outlet malls in the Orlando Metro area.

1: Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores

The Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores has 44 stores and restaurants in the mall. It’s the closest outlet mall to Walt Disney World, only 1.5 miles away.

It’s close to the Walt Disney World Resort, so it’s a great place to stop if you’re visiting the area. This is the smallest mall on the list. It doesn’t have as many stores as the other, but you don’t have to walk quite as far.

If the store you want is on the list, visiting this mall may be a better option

This location is simple to get to even if you don’t have or rent your transportation since it provides free, regular shuttle service to and from hotels and resorts with 32,000 rooms. For free, you may also receive VIP group transportation for gatherings of 10 or more.

There’s also an NRG EVgo Freedom Station for electric vehicles and a food court.

2: Orlando International Premium Outlets

The Orlando International Premium Outlets is a Simon Property Group location. There are 172 stores and restaurants in the mall. This outlet mall is closest to Universal Studios, 1.5 miles away.

You’ll find a wide variety of stores, including some high-end brands. If you’re looking for a place to eat, plenty of restaurants are located inside the mall and a food court.

If you’re staying on International Drive or at a Universal Orlando Resorts hotel, check this collection of outlets first. It’s the largest outlet mall in the Orlando Metro area, and it’s full of brand names and designer brands that you’ll find in other locations.

It’s also close to plenty of activities and shops on International drive, not to mention all of the dining options in this area.

3: Orlando Vineland Premium Outlets

The Orlando Vineland Premium Outlets are a shopping center operated by the Simon Property Group. There are 160 stores & restaurants in the mall. This mall is 2.4 miles from Walt Disney World and 10 miles from Universal Studios Orlando.

If you’re staying at the Walt Disney World Resorts or a nearby hotel on US 192, definitely check out this collection of outlet stores. It’s different from the Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores but close to Disney. You’ll find many of the same stores as at the other Premium Outlet Stores closer to Universal Studios, so it may not be worth the drive unless you spot a store or brand you must visit.
